On Wednesday 5th June Y1 went to Shibden hall in Halifax. We were shown around the hall and took part in lots of activities to see how life has changed in the last 500 years. We could see lots of examples of wooden buildings which we compared to our modern brick houses. The children made their own diaries and 'tuzzy muzzies' (scent bags). We had a lot of fun pretending to put a fire out with buckets of water - this helped us with our learning about The Great Fire of London.
