On Tuesday 3rd March, a group of Year 4 pupils visited the hospice to find out more about how the hospice supports local children with life-shortening conditions and their families.
The pupils told the hospice staff how the school chooses three charities each year and how money is raised through our weekly bun sales.
Coco said, “It was really nice to see all the toys they had for children to play with so they didn’t have to stay in bed all day.”
Adam was surprised how big it was and that they made it feel more like home than a hospital.
Luke said, “it was good to see how easy it was for children to get in and out of the hydrotherapy pool with the hoist.”
Everyone loved the sensory room!
