We have now received further advice from the Local Authority which states:
‘Having considered the latest evidence available, the Council is able to support a cautious extension of the opening of schools from 15th June’
Considering government guidance, the school’s own risk assessment and available resources, we are now in a position to welcome pupils in reception back to school from 15th June. Parents and carers who have indicated that their child will be returning to school, have been contacted separately.
It was always our hope that we would be able to invite more pupils back to school before the end of the summer term but as the government has acknowledged, this is not feasible under the current social distancing restrictions. In the event of being in a position to do so, we will communicate our plans to parents/carers of Y1 and Y6 pupils as soon as we are able.
Staff will continue to interact with pupils who are not attending school, please keep visiting the Home Learning section on the school website as this is continually being reviewed and updated.
